What a tour!!!!

Well our first Maritime tour since re uniting is behind us.

I have to say it felt even better than I thought it would!

All hands were in great form and in a very positive state of mind.  I got the sense that there is even more potential musically than there was in the 90s.
Everyone has been pursuing a variety of  related projects on their own and it showed in the self confidence the lads brought to the stage.

Thanks to all the fans who came out and brought their enthusiasm and
sense of anticipation to the gigs. It felt so good to walk out there to that welcome.

Thanks as well to the professional stage crews at the various halls who greatly contributed to the success of the concert.

Special thanks to Brad Fox, our house sound man for the tour.

In short good rooms and good people!

Stay tuned

Stores are divided into multiple categories of stores which sell a selected set of goods or services. Usually they are tiered by target demographics based on the disposable income of the shopper. They can be tiered from cheap to pricey. Some shops sell second-hand goods. acoustic guitar||Buy sound system Often the public can also sell goods to such shops. Woo Hoo!

The Hodapp Family from Fort Collins, Colorado, still loves Rawlins Cross! We saw you on PEI in 1996 (and met you at the ferry building the next day), then again in Kansas in 1999 (where we met you backstage and you all signed our tee shirts). Hope your next tour brings you into the lower 48. Can't wait to hear your new music! -Angie Hodapp

Great news

We're summer guests in Maritime Canada every few years since the eighties. On the Halifax Airport I first heard some songs from 'Living River' and was so impressed that I immideately bought the CD. Must have been 1996. Some years later I heard you on a small concert in Unna, Germany.
So it's great to hear, you're back again!
If I had known earlier I would have been on one of your shows this year (as we have been in N.S. in the summer). Perhaps we have a chance next year?

Welcome back

I am so glad you guys have reunited. I love your music and I saw you at the Fergus Highland Games back in 97. What a treat! I hope you come to the US Northeast for a concert sometime.

Missed you

I happened to walk by Hugh's Room a couple of weeks ago and I noted the band had performed there recently. I hope I do not miss you guys the next time you are in Southern Ontario. I remember feeding most of the band members at the Water Street Eatery in St. John's, NL. Great to know the band is back performing. Take Care.

The Wedding Gift

Any chance we can purchase the music notation for the Wedding Gift Tune? I absolutely love it and would like to learn how to play it. Notes and Chords?

The Wedding Gift

I also love the Wedding Gift. Would you tell me what key of whistle is was played in? Also, from what I can determine, this tune would not work on bagpipges (too many notes/wrong key) is this correct?

Thanks,

M

Rock The Dock Aug 6th/09

So glad, you guys are touring again. I first saw you in 95 at the Savoy. I was in awe at the talent of the band and its members. I have always loved Celtic music, being Scottish it is part of my heritage. The show in Sydney was fantastic, the only thing better was meeting Ian MacKinnon and getting my CD signed. Thanks Ian for that, can't wait to see you guys on Saturday in Edmonton. I still need one signiture to make it complete.

Pictures

I was at the shpw last night at Bannerman Park. Ian asked people to share their pictures. I have some to share, where do I send them?

Where in Edmonton Aug 2009?

Hi - wow I've been an ardent fan ever since I saw you in Edmonton years ago. And now you're coming here again? Fantastic!! I will definitely be there with bells on - providing I can figure out how to get tix. Can you give me a lead on who's the organizer or doing ticket sales? It seems to be suffering from a lack of advertising, but then maybe it's still early days yet.
Thanks! I'm so happy to find you reunited and can't wait to see all of you on stage again.
Cheers

Hi There

Hi Cousins:Dave & Geoff Panting
It's your cousin Kim in British Columbia. Glad to hear you are back together. Will you be coming to B.C. anytime soon. I see you will be heading to Edmonton. Sure would like to see you here.

Halifax Show

Dynamite show! It's not until you see them live and watch the changing of instruments that you truly appreciate what accomplished musicians Rawlins Cross are. THe songs sounded as good as on the CD and we were inthralled with everything from Joey's vocals to trying to figure out how Ian plays all those notes to fast with only five fingers on each hands, to Dave's virtuosity on stringed instruments. Brilliant.

Thank you!

And thank YOU for your vision of and passion for forming (and re-forming) Rawlin's Cross. It's part of the Celtic soul of the Atlantic Provinces. God speed!
